BETTY
KLEIN, M.D.
Every
practice should have a mission. Ours is to provide superior care
in a warm and friendly environment.
I am a retinal specialist.
Most of my patients have diabetic retinopathy, macular disease,
retinal vascular problems or retinal detachment. I perform surgery
when necessary but many conditions are now managed with laser
in the office. We are proud to include the new photodynamic therapy
with visudyne in our macular degeneration program.
Great care is, of course,
coordinated care. Your primary care doctor, internist and endocrinologist
will receive progress reports in written format at least once
per year. Our patient phone calls are returned in twenty-four
hours or less and always by me personally.
I received my M.D.
at Yale Medical School. I also completed my ophthalmology residency
at the Yale Eye Center. I subsequently completed a retina and
vitreous fellowship at the Retina Institute of Maryland. I occasionally
lecture at Yale and I am active in several Yale Medical School
and University Alumni committees.
